Academics
In addition to the requirements mandated by the State of Florida, St. Agnes Academy meets and exceeds the more rigorous accreditation standards of the Florida Catholic Conference. St. Agnes Academy hires the finest faculty and staff available. Our teachers are experienced and state certified, many of them holding post-graduate degrees. St. Agnes offers a challenging, well-rounded curriculum with major subjects including:

All our classrooms are equipped with the latest educational technology tools, including computers, SMART boards and audio enhancement systems.
Our Early Childhood and Elementary programs focus on the major subject essentials, as well as other subjects to enhance the children’s learning. The curriculum is age appropriate and incorporates hands-on interactive learning.
St. Agnes is proud to feature an Upper Elementary program for 4th and 5th graders. This program offers the students a challenging curriculum taught by teachers specialized in specific subject areas. The students travel from teacher to teacher, providing them with opportunities for differentiated instruction.
Our Middle School program for 6th to 8th graders also challenges the students with a rigorous, competitive curriculum. Middle School students are ability-grouped, and they also experience a variety of teaching styles through the different specialized teachers.
In addition, we utilize the Accelerated Reader program to motivate students to read, and encourage them to read at ever-higher levels. Accelerated Math is also used to increase and maintain students’ math skills.
Children in grades 2nd to 8th are given the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) each year. These tests allow us to analyze each child’s progress and plan future program revisions.
